The QuickZip starts with a base sheet that encases the mattress from underneath. Along the top edges of that sheet is an easy to use zipper that the top sheet zips right into. The zipper is fully enclosed in protective fabric (see our review by Consumer Reports) and takes only moments to unzip the dirty and re-zip the clean top sheet.
